How to Start Playing Online Poker and Win Real Money Without Ever Depositing
FullTilt Poker You'll find the FullTilt freerolls in the playmoney section, under the Tournament tab, the All tab. They run every few hours usually. The freerolls are played with 3/5 dollars and the payout is 3 dollars per entry, with Small selection aying anywhere from $2.50 to $6.00 per entry. They also have additional freerolls with prizes ranging from $2,500 to $5000.
Poker Stars has tons of freerolls all the time. Most of the top sites. EspeciallyCo Pokeris great for playing in large fields with large prize pools.
Every PokerStars site has freerolls. Some of the best for some of the worst places to get knocked out in a second. (I'm looking at you upfront!)
If you think you're good enough to win a big prize then play at the top 2 sites. These are the only places with enough integrity to allow you to win big money without spending much of your own money!
Once you pick your desired site, you're ready to play. You can either play the Short Handed tables, or the 6/10 tables. I recommend playing the 6/10 tables as they payout nearly twice as much as a 9/6 table. Obviously a smaller field wins more, but the chance to win a large prize is much better if you have the right attitude.
Once you're ready to play, find a Pokerace99 of your choice and download the required software. Choose your table and start playing. Most sites allow you to download the tournament either one day before or one night of the tournament. Either way, you can play a tournament very low risk-the table is filling up and you're ready to move in!
Position is everything, you want to be in-the-best- position-one next to the blinds. With a 9 or 10 chip stack, play aggressive and you'll probably find yourself being re-raised. With a big stack, you can possibly afford to call or even raise if you're first in. With a short stack, you should be careful unless you have a hand.
Take advantage of the first blind increases, you can generally afford to wait a bit if everyone else has folded and you're in late position, you don't want to blind off the first half of the table. I like to check a pot every now and then if I'm in late position, a bit of patience and you can manage to just keep your head hidden.
When you're a big stack, you can be more aggressive with your hands, you're in position, you have the chips and you should be able to take pots more often then anyone else. When you're a short stack, you don't want to take unnecessary risks, you should probably fold until you get a decent hand.
When you're the chip leader, it's time to play your hand out. Don't be afraid to bet heavy at the pot, you can afford to do this because your chances of being called are significantly lower then your opponents. Once you have a hand, you should be confident to lead out with a continuation bet except in the blinds. Once you're out of position, it's easy to check-raise.
